Country membership is only available to playing members of other golf clubs who reside at least 50km from the Augusta Golf Club premises.
Country members are not eligible to play in Club Championship events. To be eligible to win a Championship event the member must have a current AGU handicap held at the Augusta Golf Club.
Applicants for junior membership are not required to pay the nomination fee. On attaining the age of 18 years, junior members become full members and are charged the appropriate annual subscription the following year.
A social member is entitled to use of the clubhouse facilities only. Social members who wish to play golf on the course must pay the same green fees as visitors playing with members.
Subscriptions are payable annually in advance and are due on the first day of April. Any member who has not paid his or her subscription by the last day of April or, in the case of new members, within one month of being notified by the Club Secretary of admission to the Club, is not eligible to enter competitions or enjoy any other privilege of membership.

The date of the receipt issued for the nomination fee is deemed to be the date of nomination and nominees enjoy the privileges of membership from that date.
Golf bag tags for the current year will be issued to members (other than social members and non-playing foundation members) on payment of the annual subscription. Members are requested to display their bag tags when playing the course.
